Your Role on Our Team
As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will collaborate with highly cross-functional teams to make power tool solutions that change the lives of our users. You will innovate and explore new machine learning solutions to deploy into Milwaukee products around the world.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
- Design, develop, implement, and deploy machine learning algorithms for power tools to tackle the most challenging problems in the industry.
- Translate requirements from non-technical stakeholders into well-defined technical problems with clear mathematical language and quantifiable performance metrics
- Develop data collection methods, test plans/procedures and test cases for training, evaluation, and verification of machine learning algorithms
- Communicate effectively through all levels of the organization to a diverse range of technical and non-technical team members

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
- Masters/PhD in CS, CE, EE, or related field; exceptions allowed for candidates with relevant research experience or full-time work experience
- Proficiency in Python, with extensive experience in common libraries (NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, etc.) and at least one deep learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow)
- In-depth theoretical understanding of both classic ML and DL models
- Solid mathematical foundation in Statistics, Linear Algebra, Calculus, Optimization

Experience applying ML in non-coursework settings
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
- Experience with other program languages, C/C++ preferred
- Experience with electronics and embedded system
- Familiarity with Computer Science principles (data structures, algorithms, etc.)
- Familiarity with control systems and system dynamics
- Experience working with time-series signal/data that is not NLP
- Experience working with computer vision
