Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern

We work together with our users through observation, interviews, and field research, making them part of the solution process. Our team defines critical benefits to our end users, constructs prototypes, and evaluates product designs considering unmet user needs, durability, materials, and manufacturing processes. Working cross functionally, we perform a wide variety of engineering and design tasks including translating user observations to insights, employing proven ideation techniques, 3D modeling and mathematical simulation, and rapid prototype development.

The TOOLS you’ll need to have:
- Support Continuous Improvement efforts with data analytics, co-facilitation, as an extended team member of the CI team:
- Support CI team through development of training content and tools to improve the CI effectiveness and culture at the manufacturing facilities.
- Partner with the lead facilitator to facilitate kaizen events at the factories.
- Ensure improvements are fully integrated through follow-up, perseverance, and consistency.
- Exhibit vision and foresight to opportunities seen at the manufacturing facilities.
- Support and develop communication with operations teams, SharePoint content & administration.
- Prioritize and manage multiple projects.
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
- Student must be working toward a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial engineering preferred, will also consider manufacturing / mechanical engineering or Supply Chain & Operations Management or other engineering disciplines interested in lean / continuous improvement in Manufacturing.
- Must have a good working technical discipline and is capable of quickly researching new information as needed for specific projects.
- Must be able to communicate status to CI Leader, Operations Leader and project team.
