CAD Designer Intern

We work together with our users through observation, interviews, and field research, making them part of the solution process. Our team defines critical benefits to our end users, constructs prototypes, and evaluates product designs considering unmet user needs, durability, materials, and manufacturing processes. Working cross functionally, we perform a wide variety of engineering and design tasks including translating user observations to insights, employing proven ideation techniques, 3D modeling and mathematical simulation, and rapid prototype development.

The TOOLS you’ll need to have:
Under the direction of the engineering team, generate 3D models including, but not limited to:
Injection molded components
Die cast components
Machined Components
3D assembly fitments
Order and assemble rapid prototype models
Trouble shoot fitment issues and adjust assemblies/components accordingly.
Present work to project teams and use feedback to make required adjustments
Build, teardown and troubleshoot prototype tools and components
What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
Student working towards an associate degree in Mechanical Design or Mechanical Engineering.
Proficient in Microsoft Office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Must have good interpersonal, verbal and written communication.
Must be self-motivated and able to work with basic direction.
Solid analytical and technical skills required.
Willingness to work with hands
