Digital Platform Engineer I (2027)
WE CREATE EMPOWERED LEADERS! At Milwaukee Tool we firmly believe that our People and our Culture are the secrets to our success. As a Platform Engineer I, you'll join our Digital Platform team and help power the digital experiences used by Milwaukee Tool customers.
You'll develop expertise in Coveo Commerce, working across search, product discovery, recommendations, and digital commerce. You'll partner with engineers, architects, product managers, and business teams to solve problems, configure technology, and turn business needs into digital solutions.
This is an early-career role for someone who enjoys solving problems, learning how systems work, and working at the intersection of technology and business. You don't need to know Coveo when you start—we'll provide the resources and support to help you learn and grow
You'll execute EXTREME OWNERSHIP through these duties and responsibilities:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize Coveo Commerce to support search, product discovery, recommendations, and digital commerce.
- Translate business and product needs into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot platform issues, bugs, and integration problems across digital products.
- Work with APIs, webhooks, data feeds, and integrations between enterprise systems.
- Analyze data and system behavior to identify root causes and solve problems.
- Support projects through implementation, testing, deployment, and ongoing production support.
- Participate in incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Use data, analytics, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities to improve customer experiences and business processes.
- Partner with product managers and business teams to understand and prioritize requests.
- Document platform configurations, technical solutions, and support processes.
- Work with engineers, architects, product managers, and business stakeholders across departments and geographies.
- Build deep expertise in Coveo Commerce and grow into a trusted technical partner and subject matter expert.
The TOOLS you'll bring with you:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or Data Analytics, Software Engineering, Digital Marketing, or a related field preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills developed through coursework, projects, internships, or other experience.
- Interest in learning enterprise SaaS platforms and digital technologies.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, JSON, APIs, data structures, and debugging.
- Basic SQL or willingness to learn.
- Ability to break down ambiguous problems, ask thoughtful questions, and find practical solutions.
- Ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Systems thinking and an interest in understanding how technologies, platforms, and business processes work together.
- Ability to collaborate with diverse teams across departments and geographies.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Interest in digital commerce, search, and customer experiences is a plus.
- Programming or scripting experience is helpful but not required.
