Engineering Development Program - Concept Engineer
- Job Description:
Concept Engineer
INNOVATE WITHOUT BOUNDARIES! At Milwaukee Tool we firmly believe that our People and our Culture are the bookends of our success. Our employees work with a passion to never settle and always improve, enabling us to push the status quo and change the lives of our users.
Our Engineering Team is responsible for creating innovative solutions that address the unmet needs of our customers. We do this through increasing our users’ productivity by integrating new technologies and methodologies to deliver new-to-world products and product enhancements. Our concept team starts the journey by focusing on understanding the end user and market forces, without bias or other influences, to develop a deep understanding of the end user’s troubles, both today and in the future, and inefficiencies on both observable, current tasks, and unobservable, future tasks which are not able to be performed with technology afforded to product solutions on the market today. Our team translates the challenges into ideas through alignment with our Business Leaders, identification of available and developing technologies, and further building upon our heritage of almost a century of innovative accessories.
Our concept engineers further transform the ideas into physical concepts that embody the needs of the end user through a cyclic process of theoretical analysis, empirical testing, and obtaining candid user feedback. Through our process, our team delivers the information and embodiment of a concept to help guide the business to develop a strategic pathway for a product or category.
