      The Procurement team manages the purchasing of materials that go into many of our drilling, fastening and outdoor power equipment products.

       

      As a Procurement intern, you will have the opportunity to work on and provide leadership on many exciting projects such as developing and implementing sourcing strategies, interfacing with product supply and category teams to deliver cost savings. Our professionals work closely with our internal customers around the world to ensure we meet their quality, cost, and delivery targets.

       

      The TOOLS you’ll need to have:

      • Provide ongoing Supplier management support in the form of Forecasts, Purchase Orders, Invoice and Quality problem resolution, and related issues.
      • Monitor and analyze Supplier capacity, demand, and vendor quality
      • Initiate necessary correspondence to expedite purchased goods, revise purchase orders, effect cancellations, improve terms, resolve disposition of rejected goods and rework costs, adjust invoice discrepancies, and rectify other related problems as assigned
      • Actively participate in assigned projects and manage the purchasing activities involved
      • Conduct research as directed on market dynamics, cost drivers, supplier business models, and historical spend to enhance negotiations for assigned categories and contracts

       

      What TOOLS you’ll bring with you:

      • Working towards a bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Business/Administration, or equivalent degree.
      • Specific course work in purchasing, materials management, engineering, or quality assurance desirable
      • Strong interpersonal, verbal, written, analytical, and presentation skills are necessary
