We work together with our users through observation, interviews, and field research, making them part of the solution process. Our Advanced Test Lab is seeking an engineering intern to join the team to focus on New Product Development. As an intern for Milwaukee, you will be located at our Red Line Product Development Test Lab in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will work in a fast-paced environment to innovate new products as a member of a cross-functional team. One of the most rewarding aspects of the job is learning the concepts of advanced test, including Sound, Sound Quality, Vibration, and Ergonomics testing beyond what is taught in college.

The TOOLS you’ll need to have:
Support new product design teams through test development, data analysis, and competitor benchmarking for product Sound, Vibration, and Ergonomic data.
Perform critical product testing and analyze the test data to provide advice on product improvements
Prepare and maintain a variety of reports; manage documentation control systems
Exhibit vision and foresight to test the extremes of a product design
Maintain test procedures and equipment according to departmental procedures
Assist with fixture design, specifically for vibration and ergonomics testing
Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and act as a technical resource to the Product Design Teams.
Maintain technical competency and remain current in technology and changes in the industry
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Power Point.
High interest in tools of the trade.
Knowledge of statistical methods and measurement uncertainty calculations.
Strong organizational, problem solving, and analytical skills.
